"The" Pajama Sets bench

A set is the easy answer when you do not want to think: the top and the bottom are the same fabric, the same weight and the same size, and they were graded together. Cotton sets are the plain woven kind with a button front, and they suit a bedroom that stays above sixty-five degrees. Fleece sets are the opposite argument, and they belong in a room you can see your breath in.

How it fits

Sets run true and are cut loose. The waistband is elastic with a drawstring on almost every bottom, so the bottom half forgives a size either way. The top half does not, and that is the one to size by.

What it does not do. A set is not a base layer and not outerwear. The fleece ones are too warm to sleep in above sixty-eight degrees, and people say so in reviews more often than anything else.
